Moon threads are a great value option for sewing thread. TKT 120, originally the overlocker thread by Coats, on small spools to make buying overlocker threads more economical. However, soon sewers discovered these smaller reels for their sewing machines, too and if you are not planning to sew seams that are under pressure, ie in rucksacks or jeans etc, then MOON threads are indeed a good economic option. There is indeed a quality difference to i.e. Gutermann threads however, Moon threads are not spun the same way, they are thinner, so for threading the needle they will not have the same robust strength to go through the needle eye easily, the thread appears a bit softer.
There is a 1000yrd of thread on each reel and the threads are 100% polyester.
Moon threads are produced by Coats and are perfect to be used for machine, overlocker and hand sewing.
