We opened ‘fabric & finery’s’ brick & mortar shop in December 2011 in a tiny wee shop, Sales Managers from all the companies still took orders on their writing pads with pen in hand…it is amazing what all has happened in our sector since….facebook and instagram was just about getting more known, little did we know that we would be browsing new crafty ideas on our phones, cuppa in hand, in the years to come!
It says it in the name…fabric & finery stands for great quality goods, be it patchwork and quilting fabrics, dressmaking fabrics, bag making and other project supplies, haberdashery, yarn or our hand stitched / hand finished custom made soft furnishings, premium poles and bay window systems, soft furnishing fabrics and selected paints. Besides our renowned soft furnishings, custom made or altered to your specifications, we also offer premium dress alterations, from bridal work to heavy duty sewing, whatever you wished us to sew, we gladly listen and assist you with your requirements. We hold contracts with most fabric houses and our pattern book library contains around 450 current collections to choose from.
We provide Design advice in your home or business, sample service and colour matching assistance, we measure and fit all our soft furnishings incl. poles and tracks.
We offer carefully selected, tried and tested products that work and will last a long time. We are not happy with nowadays tendencies on the market offering cheap goods that people buy in good faith, only to find that they are actually not fit for purpose. Should you ever purchase anything from the shop that you are not happy with, please do come back to us with it, we can return anything to our own suppliers that does not work as expected.

Online we endeavour to explain every item as clear as possible to make it easier for you to choose without touching and feeling and being able to discuss in person.
