Gutermann 100% Cotton Thread has many uses. The Quilters like it because due to it being a natural fibre, it is slightly stretchy, so those all important “points” can be met with a little bit of “tugging” when piecing. Colours 919 and 618 are the “Quilters Neutrals” and fit to most colours, especially when using a variety in the same project.
Cotton Thread as a slight sheen to it, so when top stitching silk fabrics or other shiny fibres, it would not stand out as “matt”.
Gutermann Cotton Thread is the perfect thread for those who prefer to sew with natural fibres. This 100% natural cotton works best when used with natural fabrics. It is fine but strong, with a silk-like lustre that gives a luxury finish.
