UPDATE TO THE YOUTUBE TUTORIAL FOR THIS STOCKING:

Should you find it too complicated to sew the faux fur piping onto the stocking all the way round, good success has been noted with preparing the front and the back of the stocking SEPARATELY with the faux fur piping cut up in two 25cm pieces and applied separately to front and back of the stocking and then also the upper part of the stocking above the piping to be added in two separate parts. Then you sew the stocking front and back together as in the original instructions and continue from there. The faux fur piping is fluffy enough to disguise the seams on the front and back of the stocking.

(fabrics for the outside of the stocking are NOT included) You can make up your stocking as per our full tutorial on our youtube channel to achieve the diamond pattern or you can make it up any way you would like.

This kit provides you with everything you need to complete this patchwork stocking once you have looked
out your fabrics for the outside of the stocking, these are NOT included.

This kit is available in several colourways so you can pick the one that goes best with your
chosen outer fabrics.

Fat quarter bundles with at least 5 co ordinating fabrics are perfect for this stocking project,
you need 2 long side strips at 2.5inches each of 4 corresponding fabrics, of which you use one also for
the part above the fluffy edging, then a 5th fabric for the backing of the stocking, here a larger pattern
would be particularly suitable.

There are plenty of Fat Quarter Bundles for choice on this website, you could use Christmas or non-Christmas patterns for this stocking – or you have fabrics in your stash, ready to be used for this project.

1 /2m fusible fleece 90cm wide, to fuse the front, back and head piece of the stocking to
1 /2m of plain coloured polycotton, 110cm wide
1 /2m of faux fur flanged binding
3 x golden jingle bells
1 /4m of 1inch Velvet ribbon, 1/2m of 10mm double satin or grosgrain ribbon
1 corresponding Coats Moon Thread 1000yds
