We love working with this white stretchy lampshade lining as it is very obliging, it pulls taut really nicely and does not create ladders in the knit if you remember using fine sharp pins and a fine needle when hand sewing the lining onto the lampshade frame. We use this lining for all our classes. With a width of 160cm, you usually can usually use your chosen meterage for two shades next to each other.

 

This lining was sourced from Dannells where you can purchase your lampshade kits if needed. They only sell premium, really good quality products. Please see as well the attached link to the safety guidelines for panelled lampshade making and the minimum distances required from bulb to linings.

In principle panelled lampshade linings do not need to be fire retardant if you make your lampshades for sale, however you are obliged to recommend to use LED lightings or refer to the safety guidelines if using any other bulbs. You can find these on this link:

This nicely stretching white Lampshade lining by Dannells will cut well into panels to be sewn together for your Victorian Lampshade Re-covering. Use a fine sewing machine needle, sharp pins and a fine needle later on for the hand stitching of the lining onto the lampshade frame so you do not risk causing any ladders in the knitted material.

You buy it in 50cm increments full width 160cm, the length will be sent out in one continuous piece.
