15mm fine Satin Bias Binding, very gentle and soft binding, a bit trickier to apply than the more solid 20mm satin bias binding that we are also stocking. However, this softness comes in handy when the binding is not meant to make the garment or other project heavier or change the drape of it.
This particular binding is great for hemming suit trousers, linen trousers, occasion trousers without an overlocker to finish off the raw edges, see picture in gallery.
It is also very good for binding arm holes and other raw inner seams, also great for the Hongkong finish of garments.
It can be used very successfully anywhere where a small slim binding is desired, apply with a fine needle 70/10 and low tension, around 4/4.5 for optimal success. Do not flange the binding on, best sew it on the classic way, first on the back with the fold open, then on the front edge stitched through all the layers.
