Please note this Club session is 3 hours long and takes place EITHER in the hall of the Helensburgh Community Hub at 116 East Princes Street, just a bit further down the road from the shop address, right after the Tesco Garage. Parking is free along the roads – OR – in Room 1 at “The Bridge”, the halls next to the Parish Church on Colquhoun Square, Helensburgh. Parking is slightly more awkward there but there are options, please feel free to reach out to us if you need advice on where to park best. It will always be stated in the title of this booking WHERE the session will take place for the respective date.

The club fee includes the hall rental fee.

Would you like to try out DRESSMAKING? Have you made garments before but were unhappy with the fit? Did you struggle to figure how to amend a commercial dressmaking pattern to fit your body? Are you happy with ready-made garments but unsure how to alter them to fit you properly?

We are working hard at our fortnightly DRESSMAKING SESSIONS! You bring your project, your sewing machine, your pattern, tracing paper, sellotape, measuring tape and I will do my best to get you on a good way for a less frustrating Dressmaking Journey!

If your own sewing machine is too heavy to transport, you can happily use one of the Sewing School simple manual Janome machines, we always bring a few with us to the hall.

You do not need to bring irons, french curves, mirrors as these will be set up by us. The kettle will be on and a cuppa plus bickie provided!

On the days of the club sessions all club members get 10% off their shop stock purchases in the brick & mortar shop in Helensburgh after the session. The shop is open until 5pm on Saturdays.
