This is the ideal thread to add glitter & sparkle effect to your decorative seams, ornamental stitches & creative crafts.

Recommended use for hand-sewing as due to the way this thread is spun, it tends to unravel when used in the sewing machine. For use on short stretches in the machine we recommend a top stitch needle which has a bigger eye, so the abrasion on the thread will be less. If you want to sew longer stretches with glitter threads on the machine, please look out for the “metallic sliver” threads.

Advisable washing of this thread is up to 30°C, moderate tumble drying & Dry Cleaning. Do Not Iron.

The recommended needle for this thread, if using in the sewing machine, is a top stitch 100/16 needle so that the eye of the needle is as large as possible to reduce the risk of shredding. This thread consists of several strands spun together and if sewing fast, they might split. Alternatively you may use some of the  Guetermann metal sliver threads in the machines for more durable results.

This thread is very good for decorative hand sewing / embroidery.
