10AM to 5PM on each Sunday, £145 per person incl. all materials for the project
(=fabric bundle in your preferred colours, wadding, backing, binding, cotton thread) we will check with you which colours you like and make up a bundle for you.
Please bring a small sewing kit with fabric scissors, snips, threads, pins and measuring tape. You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, ideally with a quarter inch foot or you can of course use a sewing school machine equipped with a ¼ foot. Please also bring a note book and a pen, you might want to jot a few things down.
Quilting Mats, Rulers and several types of Rotary Cutters are provided so you can try everything out. We start right at the beginning with proper measuring and cutting, then we will make four blocks, the Log Cabin block to practise accurate measuring, sewing and pressing, the Half Square Triangle Star to learn grading, the Disappearing 4 Patch, and the “no waste” Flying Geese Block.
The idea is to make a small table runner with these 4 blocks, layered up, quilted and bound, over the two Sundays. There will be full instructions handed out to support the project, so you will be absolutely able to finish your table runner at home, should you prefer a slower pace of work. We will also add video snippets to the class’ whatsapp group.
Any purchases during these 2 Quilt Sundays entitle you to 10% discount.
Book your place in-store, via phone, messsenger or online via the class section on our website. www.fabricandfinery.co.uk
